We're Back!

Greetings, everyone! I apologize for our extended absence, but we've been very busy!  Being a BIG SISTER is HARD WORK!   I'll let my brother introduce himself.

Hi guys!  I'm Ben!  Christina says I can post in her blog sometimes.  This is me!

This is me just 6 months ago!  I can't believe I was ever that little!  I was born on January 13, FRIDAY THE 13th, at 1:21 p.m.  Mom says it wasn't easy, but easier than Christina.  (hehe - I think she's going to be saying that A LOT!)  I weighed exactly 8 pounds.  Now I'm over 16 pounds!  When I was born, I couldn't hardly do anything.  Now I roll all over the place, put things in my mouth, and I'm looking into this crawling thing - it seems like a good thing to try out.  I'm a picky sleeper - I prefer to sleep in my swing, and love cuddling with mom and dad.  I even have TWO teeth (and let me tell you...getting those was no fun at all!)  Usually I'm a very happy guy.   

Enough from Ben...being a big sister has been a lot of work.  I bring Ben his toys and blankets, and try to make sure he's happy.  I finished the school year and I'm going to a camp this summer a few mornings each week.  Mom got a new job, and we got a new sitter who we really like.  I gotta say, it's pretty good to be me! 

Last post

As an only child.

For several months, Mommy's tummy has been getting bigger and bigger.  It's harder and harder to sit on her lap.  Mom and Dad told me that there is a baby in Mommy's tummy - my baby brother.  He's going to be here any day now.  I have a book I love to read about being a big sister, and I think I sorta get it.   The other day we found a baby sock in my room, and I was happy to go put it in his room - because it's for babies, and I'm a big girl.  I'm going to be a big helper, and try very hard to be a good big sister.

(p.s. my other favorite book is about a potty!  Mom says she's not ready for that!)

I know Mom and Dad will always love me - and how could they not?  Look how stinkin' cute I am!

December!

It's getting colder out.  But I don't like to wear my hat outside.  Inside, however, is a different story.  Inside, I like to put my hat and mittens on all the time!

I can push my own cart at Trader Joe's!

When I have playdates with my friends, sometimes we take off our pants.  We're toddlers, it's what we do.

 

Then it was Christmas time!  We had a party at my school

And then lots of parties with our family.   We went to Kristin's, Grandpa's, Aunt Sharon's, and had Grandpa, Papa, and Uncle Brad over for breakfast.   What a fun few days!

Sometimes I like to put a bag on my head.  What's so wrong with that?

November

Fall finally came to Michigan!   

And I was a big helper for daddy!



Unfortunately, Mom and I spent a lot of the month sick.  Yuck!  I had to go to work with Daddy sometimes.  His friend Ann made me a fort!

 The biggest news this month was that I got a BIG GIRL BED.

October

October was full of our usual fun - coloring with grandpa

 And went to the cider mill

Then it was Halloween.  I didn't really love my monkey costume.  I liked playing in my yard that night, but not really going to the other houses.

 All in all, a good month.  Mommy's tummy is getting bigger....

Fall Fun

What a busy fall I've had!  I go to school two days each week, and the library one day.  I have playdates with my buddies, I go to my sitter's house two days - my life is chock full of fun!

I love to do art projects, and make sure Tigger and dolly join me.

We went to a party in our pajamas!  There was singing and dancing and it was so much fun!

 There was a parade at the end and I got to participate!

It's cool to be 2!

I had another birthday in September, and it was AWESOME! 

A few days before, we had a big party!  Instead of cake, I had a giant cookie with my favorite guys on it.

 And I got a basketball hoop!  SCORE!

On my birthday, I went to Jungle Java, a big indoor playground, with Mommy, Daddy, and my friends Brodie and Charlotte (and their mommy). 

Later that night, we went out to eat with Papa!  I got to order my favorite meal - french fries and ice cream.  Birthdays are good!
