Friends and Fun!

Today my Aunt JoJo came over to play with me! yay! It was so much fun! Here's an old picture of us:

I also got a new toy this week! Well, Mommy says I've always had it, she just hadn't put it together. I don't know what the hold up was.....hrm....but it's super-duper fun!

There's just one small problem. um.....I'm a little too short.

And here's a picture of my Aunt Sharon! It's reaallllllly old - it was when I was just a teeny tiny newborn! I'm a big girl now!

Birthday Fun!

I had another birthday - 4 big months! I'm growing up so fast! I sleep in my big girl crib now, and sit at the kitchen table for dinner time! (And if Aunt Laurie reads this, I'm wearing the shoes you got me, except you can only see the bottoms. But they looked SO GOOD with my outfit!)

Daddy and I went to visit Grandma and Papa again this weekend, and this time we brought the camera. :)

My other grandpa, Grandpa Dave, got back from Florida. I don't know what that is, but mommy kept saying she wishes she were there. *shrug* Now that he's back, I play with him while mommy goes to the gym. When she comes home she's stinky. I don't really understand, I'm not stinky when I go to my gym...

Fun with Grandma and Papa

I had such a fun day yesterday, but I don't have any pictures to share! :( Daddy and I went to see Grandma and Papa! We went out to breakfast and Papa showed me off to everyone in the restaurant. *blush* Then we went back to their house and I took a nap in Papa's arms. Then I got on the floor and showed Papa my moose, Morty. The three of us had fun! Too bad Daddy forgot the camera. Bad Daddy!

December 2009

Why is everything red and green all of the sudden? I sense that something is going on....and why am I sitting on this guy's lap?

I can reach and grab my Baby Whoozit! I love my Whoozit, he's the bomb.

I had another birthday! These things are awesome! How often do they come?

And then it was Christmas! Which was a tad overwhelming for me...but I got a giant kangaroo! And lots of other cool stuff.

And we took a family picture, but *one* of us didn't look at the camera...

Silly Daddy!

November 2009

Mom would say November was a blur too! You see - I think that this world is just SO MUCH FUN, I can't risk missing something by sleeping! Imagine all that might happen at 3 a.m. that I could miss! I had fun playing on my cool Homer blanket

playing in my swing - look at the fishies!

and hanging out in my bouncy chair

I had another birthday - I was so excited I spit all over my sign.

And mommy figured out how to make the dentist go faster!

She tried to come after me - but haha! I don't have any teeth!

It was a busy, fun, crazy month - here's my imitation of mommy and daddy's expressions:

My First 6 Weeks

Mommy says the first 6 weeks were a blur - but I was having fun! We came home on September 16 and quickly fell into a routine. Grandpa Dave comes over every morning to help Mommy. He and I chat, walk around the house, or just rest.

I like to take baths

and watch hockey with daddy. except he falls asleep.

We even went to the cider mill!

I turned one month

And then it was Halloween. Look at the pumpkin mom and dad carved for me!

Mommy's right - these were busy weeks! Makes me sleepy just thinking about them!

My Family

I'm so lucky to have such a great family and friends! So many people came to visit me at the hospital and after I came home!

Here's Daddy holding me for the very first time! Mommy said he was scared out his mind. heeeheee.

Here's Grandpa Dave

And Uncle Brad

Grandma and Papa

There are more, but I'd have to ask people's permission!

Let me introduce myself

Hi! I'm Christina!

I'm 3 and 1/2 months old, and Mommy said it's time I got to work on my blog!

A little background - I was born on September 14...

WAIT! Let me back up and tell you a little about my mom and dad and how I came to be.

My mom is Debbie. She was born and raised in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She went to University of Michigan (M! GO BLUE!), then Indiana University for law school. She's lived all over the place - London, Chicago, DC - but came back to Michigan, and it looks like she's staying. She was a lawyer, but stopped working in 2008 and had ME! She met Daddy in 2006 through work.

My daddy is Al. He was born in East Detroit (not Eastpointe) MI. He went to Northerm Michigan University (brrrrrr! It's cold up there!), and now he works for a hospital in Detroit.

They got married in 2008. Aren't they cute?

On January 14, 2009, mom and dad found out they were going to have a baby (ME!). They were so excited. :) In February, they had an ultrasound, and it was after that that everyone started calling me Homer. Why Homer? I don't know, ask their friend Jack, it was his idea. So for 7 months they called me Homer. Do I look like a Homer!?!?!

I don't think so!
Anyhow...after 7 months of being called Homer, I had to make an appearance and straighten this out! I was supposed to come on September 16, but I was antsy. So mom and dad went to the hospital early in the morning on September 14, and after 13 1/2 hours of labor, I finally came out. I'm so worth it!

My name is Christina Pauline. I weighed 7 lb, 9 oz at birth and was 19.5 inches long. I have lots of hair - more than Daddy! I'm named after my grandmas - Grandma Christine on my mom's side (who is in Heaven) and Grandma Pauline on my daddy's side. I'm perfect in every way (and so humble!)
